Rwanda Premier League side Kiyovu Sports Club have signed former Vipers striker Brian Kalumba on a three year contract.

Kalumba joins the Rwandan giants from embattled Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC.

He becomes the second Ugandan player to be signed by Kiyovu in this transfer window after former BUL FC goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa.

Kalumba is a former Vipers striker who made his topflight debut in 2019 before having a subsequent loan stint at UPDF FC and later signing for Gaddafi last season on a permanent deal.

He is expected to fill the void left by Erisa Ssekisambu who left the club after scoring 10 league goals as Kiyovu came short of winning the league title.

Kiyovu will be seeking to win their first league title in 30 years and end APR’s four year domestic dominance.

Kiyovu are currently coached by former SC Villa Greek coach Petros Koukouras who was appointed last month.
