Express FC have signed defender Ashraf Mbaziira from Kajjansi United, Swift Sports understands.

Mbaziira signed a two year contract to become the first signing of the Red Eagles in the current transfer window.

Mbaziira can ably play across the backline but most especially in central defense.

He has been an instrumental figure at Kajjansi United and almost guided the Buganda Regional League side to a FUFA Big League on two occasions.

Mbaziira previously had a brief stint with Wakiso Giants and Entebbe FC both in the FUFA Big League.

With a massive exodus of players looming at Express, Mbaziira is expected to be one of the many new signings at the embattled club.

Express will be under the tutelage of James Odoch whose immediate task is to recruit new players and steer Express back to the rails.

It should be noted that Express recently appointed Ashraf Miiro as their new CEO replacing Isaac Mwesigwa who joined SC Villa.
