The Uganda Cranes have started preparations for their final AFCON 2023 Qualification match against Niger.
Emmanuel Okwi the Cranes captain has been ruled out of the contest due to injury.
The team under the stewardship of Milutin Sredojevic alias Micho had a training session at East High School in Ntinda on Tuesday afternoon.
Milton Karisa (Vipers SC), Kenneth Semakula (SC Villa), Siraje Sentamu (Vipers SC), Moses Waiswa (KCCA FC), Charles Lukwago (Unattached) are some of the players that took part in Tuesday’s training session.
Uganda will lock horns with Niger on 7th September, 2023 at Grand Stade Marrakech in Morocco.
To advance for the Showpiece due in Ivory Coast in January next year, Uganda will have to beat the East African nation and pray Algeria overcomes Tanzania.
