Ugandan forward Peter Lwasa has joined Tanzania Premier League side Kagera Sugar, Swift Sports understands.

Lwasa has been a free agent after his short term contract with KCCA FC officially expired last month.

He joined KCCA during the secondary transfer window in January from Congolese side Lubumbashi FC.

He leaves the Lugogo based side after playing nine league games.

Lwasa previously played for URA FC and Kenya Premier League sides Sofapaka FC, Kariobangi Sharks and Gor Mahia FC.

Kagera Sugar is based in Bukoba and host games at the Kaitaba Stadium.

Last season, Deus Bukenya, Diego Hamis Kiiza, Disan Galiwango and Nicholas Kasozi were the four Ugandan players featuring for Kagera Sugar.
