•Rines SS WFC 1-1 Amus College WFC

Defending champions Kawempe Muslim LFC continued with their perfect start to the 2024/25 Finance Trust Women Super League season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over She Maroons in Luzira.

Shadia Nabirye’s 35th-minute goal secured a third straight win for Kawempe.

The result saw Kawempe go top of the top of the league with nine points in the three games they have played so far.

Unlike their dominant 3-0 wins over Rines and Wakiso Hill, this time Kawempe had to labour for maximum points.

The league’s top scorer, Agnes Nabukenya, missed her chance to score in consecutive matches this term after failing to convert a penalty.

Meanwhile, Rines SS WFC earned their first point of the season after a 1-1 draw with newly promoted Amus College at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

Phiona Arach scored for Rines while Shayline Opisa netted Amus’ goal as the two sides earned a point in their meeting.
