Following another disappointing Buganda Masaza Cup campaign, head of Technical Buweekula Ssaza team Joseph Kyambadde has stepped down from the role.

Buweekula were eliminated at the semi-final stage after a goalless stalemate at home with Kyaggwe Ssaza team on Sunday.

Kyaggwe advanced to their maiden final of the prestigious Buganda football competition 2-1 on aggregate.

Following their elimination, Kyambadde has decided to step down as the head of Technical.

“I take this opportunity to thank Buweekula county chief, team manager Hajji Rajab Ssebulime for entrusting me to serve as head of technical. I have decided to step aside from the role that I assumed in 2020. My target was to win the Masaza Cup trophy but I happy that we have achieved a lot including reaching the 2021 final, reached the Quarterfinals twice and also the semi-finals this year.”

“I thank the fans, coaches that I have worked with during my time as head of technical.” Said Kyambadde
