Uganda Premier league side Mbale Heroes have re-appointed Asaph Mwebaze as their head coach.

Mwebaze returns to the side he left in April this year citing unpaid salaries.

Following his departure, he was replaced by Simon Peter Ddungu alias Dunga who led the side to the topflight division after spending close to two decades in the lower leagues.

When the club gained topflight status, Richard Malinga took over helms at the Mbale based side but only managed three games.

Malinga stated that he left the club due to the involvement of bosses in his duties.

Mwebaze who has Uganda Premier league experience having served at Maroons, Soltilo Bright Stars and Onduparaka FC returns to Mbale Heroes and his major role will be help the side overcome relegation.

He has also previously worked with Nyamityobora FC and Soccer Shots Houston Texas U17 Academy.

Mbale Heroes have managed just three points in their opening four games in the league and Mwebaze’s first task will be away to Lugazi FC on Wednesday.
