The inaugural Ham end of year Football tournament has officially been launched at Bakuli in Kampala.
The event will attract over 32 teams and will kickoff on Sunday at Bujjuko Catholics playground in Ssentema.
Excel from Kyebando and will battle Bujjuko in the opening game.
Ham Ntambi, the chairperson Organising committee is hopeful the tournament will lead to the establishment of new talents.
“We have decided to organize this tournament in order to help youth showcase their talents as well as the establishment of new talents. We shall organize this event annually as we aim to get new players.” Said Ntambi
Lubega Robert, the Secretary of the tournament will be great for the community
“Football is one of the games that unite people in every community so we embarked on the decision to organize a tournament of this magnitude.”
Each team that will participate in the tournament will have to register twenty five players with five players coming from the Uganda Premier league.
Meanwhile, registration fee for the tournament is 130,000 per team.
The winning team will be crowned on New Year’s Day, 2025 with the victors walking away with a trophy, medals and a Bull.
