NBS Sport, Uganda’s largest sports television network, will provide live coverage of International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach’s visit to Uganda from October 22 to 24, 2024.

This is part of Bach’s farewell tour, which includes stops in five African countries.

Joe Kigozi, General Manager of NBS Sport, highlighted the significance of the visit, saying, “His visit is a milestone. Good for Ugandan sport. It’s a vote of confidence for Uganda since we have one of the best performers in the region, especially in track and field.”

The Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) also expressed its enthusiasm about the visit. Donald Rukare, UOC President, remarked, “As the Uganda Olympic Committee, we are honored and thrilled to be hosting the President of the International Olympic Committee, Dr. Thomas Bach. We look forward to him engaging with athletes, Olympians, sports leaders, and senior government officials while he is here.”

NBS Sport’s live broadcast will cover Bach’s interactions with key stakeholders, including his visit to the Game Connect Project, which supports refugee participation in sports through the Olympic Refugee Foundation.
