Defending champions SC Villa will attempt to put an end to a free falling run when they visit Maroons FC on Thursday at Luzira Prisons grounds.
Villa are fresh from a disappointing 2-2 draw with Soltilo Bright Stars. The Jogoos threw away a 2-0 lead after they had also surrendered a 1-0 lead to lose against Vipers in the previous fixture.
Maroons’ camp is’nt in good spirits either, media reports have been making rounds pointing at a potential player revolt stemming from lack of pay.
The club however came out to quash the reports but as the old adage goes, there is no smoke without fire.
The Prison Warders have only won once this term and have already lost twice, drawing twice in their first five league matches.
When Villa visited Luzira last time, they were held to a 1-1 stalemate but they have won 2 of the most recent 5 meetings.
Maroons have won once and two have ended in stalemates.
Villa will only miss the services of midfielder Elvis Ngonde who got injured in training but the rest of the squad is available for selection.
Maroons haven’t reported any absentees and will hope to have a full squad for the encounter.
