CAF has appointed Egyptian referees to handle Uganda’s final game in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville in Brazzaville.
The match will be played tomorrow (Tuesday) 19th November at the Alphonse Massamba-Debat Stadium in the capital of Brazzaville at 7pm.
Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour, a 37 year-old Egyptian, will be the match’s center referee.
Maarouf will be assisted by his Egyptian compatriots Sami Mohamed Abouzid Halhal and Hany Abdelfattah Mohamoud Elsnadidy as the first and second assistant respectively.
Mahmoud Nagy Ahmed Nagy Mosa also from Egypt will be the fourth official.
Rwanda’s Athanase Nkubito will be the referee’s assessor while Arcade Nimubona from Burundi will be the match commissioner.
The dead rubber will be played at the same time as the other Group K encounter between South Africa and South Sudan.
Both Uganda and South Africa already qualified for the AFCON 2025 to be held in Morocco next year.
Uganda’s last visit to Congo Brazzaville ended 1-1 during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers with Milton Karisa scoring the Cranes’ line goal under the tutelage of coach Moses Basena.
