Vipers SC claimed table leadership with a 2-0 victory over URA FC on Friday at Nakivubo Stadium.

Second half goals from in form duo of Milton Karisa and Allan Okello inspired the six time league champions to maximum points.

URA FC under the stewardship of former Vipers head coach Alex Isabirye looked devoid of ideas in the defeat.

Despite Vipers dominance, the first period ended goalless.

Early in the second half, Yunus Sentamu had a golden opportunity with the goalkeeper to beat but the strike could only force a save from custodian Denis Otim.

In the 56th minute, Karisa gave the visitors the lead to send the traveling faithfuls into elation.

Okello doubled their advantage in the 65th minute heading home a perfect Karisa cross.

Vipers prevailed to maximum points and are now unbeaten in eight games since their opening day defeat to NEC FC.

Victory also takes them to the summit with 20 points leapfrogging NEC FC.

The tax collectors are now winless against the Venoms in four games.
