UPDF FC host Police FC at the Bombo Military Grounds as Match Day 10 of the Uganda Premier League kicks off with both sides seeking to return to winning ways.
Both teams are tied on 12 points garnered from eight games played, Police sit 7th on the table while UPDF are 10th.
Both sides are targeting ascendency as a victory will catapult either side to as high as the 4th place temporarily.
The Army men come into the fixture after losing terribly 4-0 to Kitara in their previous game while Police were held by Lugazi to a goalless draw.

Police welcome back Ivan Eyam, Brain James Obedi and Daniel Otto from injury.
UPDF are boosted by the return of Aggrey Kiirya from suspension while Andrew Kigozi, Hussein Zzinda and Emmanuel Ocen remain sidelined.
What Coaches Say;
Paul Kiwanuka says his charges are fully determined to fight for maximum points despite suffering a crushing defeat last week.
” We didn’t get the points we wanted (against Kitara) but we are back to rectify all the mistakes that we made. Everybody is ready to fight for maximum points.” Kiwanuka says.
Simon Peter Mugerwa says his offensive department will need to work on converting chances so as to get the desired result.
” It is another opportunity (against UPDF) to improve on the attacking phrase, in the final third, how we move and operate and how we convert the chances we create and find the goals we need.” Mugerwa says
” It is a very important game for Police FC because a win will boost our chances of moving upwards on the table.” Mugerwa adds.
Head To Head
The previous six meetings between both sides have seen Police win thrice. UPDF have won twice while the other encounter ended in a draw.
The last time both sides met was in the 2021/22 season and it ended in a 2-2 draw before Police were eventually relegated to the Big League.
Police FC have registered the most draws this season (six) while UPDF have conceded 10 goals in their last three fixtures.
