Entebbe based Garuga stars booked a place into the third round of the Stanbic Uganda cup of the 2024/5 season after an impressive away victory to Free stars in Mukono!
Ssekyanzi Joseph “Kamba” and Enyabu Joseph “kanyanya” were the heroes of the day with a goal apiece in either half!
The visitors took a deserved lead in the 13th minute thanks to a well timed through ball by Mukiibi Jessy which found an unmarked Kamba to set the visitors matching on the evening! Kanyanya would later add the second in the second half which all but confirmed Garuga stars’ place in the next round of the tournament!
Worthy mentioning,Garuga stars eliminated Kiyinda young in a game they hosted in Garuga at Cherish grounds,a game they won 2-1.
Next for the Entebbe based side is a trip to Synergy fc in Ndeeba,Kayunga district for their 3rd round fixture!
