The Uganda Premier league secretariat has confirmed the postponement of the contest between Wakiso Giants and KCCA FC.

The game was scheduled for 14th December at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium but has been postponed to Sunday 15th December at the same venue.

According to the UPL, Wakiso Giants requested for the postponement due to the unavailability of Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on 14th December.

“Reference is made to the letter received from Wakiso Giants FC indicating that Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium won’t be available for use on Saturday 14th December citing that the stadium has been booked for another event. They requested, their match against KCCA FC that was scheduled to be played on 14th December 2024 be postponed to Sunday 15th December 2024.”

“Accordingly, M# 95 Wakiso Giants FC Vs KCCA FC will be played on Sunday 15th December 2024, Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium at 3:00pm.” Read a statement from UPL

Last season, Wakiso Giants beat KCCA FC 2-1 at the same venue courtesy of Samson Kigozi and Kenneth Kimera goals while Ashraf Mugume scored for the visitors.

This term Wakiso Giants are currently on a horrendous run of form after failing to register victory in their last eight league matches. Steven Bengo coached side last maximized points with a narrow 1-0 home win in September.
