Mbarara City FC captain Joseph Akandwanaho has agreed terms to join Tanzanian Premier League side Tabora United.
Swift Sports understands that the fast-paced attacker and Tabora United have reached a compromise for the player to sign on a two year deal.
Akwandwanaho is a tried and tested winger who has previously featured for Soltilo Bright Stars, Express FC, and Mbarara City in the Uganda Premier League. He also featured for Nyamityobora FC.
Tabora United is also home to former SC Villa and Proline striker Ivan Bogere.
Richard Tamale is another Ugandan working with Tabora United as the assistant head coach.
In January this year, Akandwanaho featured for Zanzibar’s Mlandege FC and scored the winning goal against Simba SC in the 2024 Mapenduzi Cup.
Tabora United is 5th on the Tanzania Premier League table with 25 points from 15 games.
They were formerly known as Kitayosce.
