Soltilo Bright Stars FC ended their four match winless run with a 2-1 hard fought victory over UPDF FC at Kavumba.
Warren Bbule and Ashiraf Mulindi’s goals gave Ian Mutanda’s coached side all the three points against the visiting Army men.
Samuel Ssekamatte Kayongo pulled one back for UPDF early on but failed to build on it.
The victory is the second for Soltilo Bright Stars this season. The first was a 1-0 victory against Kitara FC.
Despite victory, Soltilo Bright Stars remain at the bottom of the table with only nine points from 13 games.
They play Express FC next on Thursday 2nd January 2025 at Nakivubo Stadium.
Defeat leaves UPDF FC in the seventh position with 17 points. They host Vipers SC at Bombo Military Barracks grounds on Friday 3rd- January 2025.
In another game of the day table leaders NEC FC and BUL FC played to a one all draw at Lugazi FC.
Cromwell Rwothomio and Nicholas Mwere scored for NEC FC and BUL FC respectively.
