Date and Venue for 2024 CHAN Draw Confirmed

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the date and venue for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Draw.

The draw will be held on 15th January, 2025 at Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi.

Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will Co-host the tournament that features players in the domestic leagues on the African continent from February 1st -28th 2025.

The draw will be held on 15th January, 2025 at Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi.

Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will Co-host the tournament that features players in the domestic leagues on the African continent from February 1st -28th 2025.

The tournament will consist of 19 teams with the three co- hosts (Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania) seeded as A1, B1 and C1 respectively.

The other countries that will take part in the competition will be seeded as per the results from the last 3 editions (2018, 2020 and 2022).

Pot 1 has two countries Morocco and the reigning champions, Senegal.

Pot 2 has five countries; Guinea, Zambia, Madagascar, Rwanda and Sudan.

Mauritania, Niger, Congo, Angola, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Central African Republic and Democratic Republic of Congo are in the third pot.
