Record champions Gomba have confirmed their management committee for this year’s Buganda Masaza Cup competition due to kick off in July.
The committee was confirmed on Wednesday 15th January, 2025 by county Chief Kitunzi William Fredrick Mugabi.
Daniel Mwesiga has been appointed as the patron while Andrew Musassizi is the Chairperson of the committee.
Anita Nantale and Swaibu Luzinda have been appointed as the first assistant and second assistant Chairpersons respectively.
Livingston Kasule is the treasurer, Derrick Nsubuga Luliibe is the secretary, Resty Mbatidde Namugema has been retained as the media officer.
Emmanuel Steven Yamulemye will be in charge of safety and security, Jafarani Kalule is the team manager and Hassan Ssendi is the team doctor.
Gomba have won the prestigious competition a record five times in ( 2004, 2009,2014,2017 and 2020). They have also reached the finals of the event ten times.
The 2025 Masaza Cup tournament is tentatively expected to kick off on Saturday 5th July and climax on 1st November.
Buddu are the current champions following their 1-0 triumph over Kyaggwe in last year’s final that was held at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole with Micheal Walaga scoring the all important goal.
