FUFA Big League side Onduparaka FC failed to honor their Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 tie against Bushenyi Veterans at Bushenyi Main Stadium on Thursday.
The hosts Bushenyi Veterans were at the venue for the game but their day’s opponents Onduparaka didn’t turn up for the game.
It was established that the Arua based side had requested FUFA for a postponement to prepare for the memorial of their former player Rashid Agau set for Saturday but the Federation denied the request.
This is the second consecutive time that the 2016 competition runners up have failed to honor their round of 64 game. Last season they failed to show up against Kyambura Rasters FC due to transport issues.
Meanwhile, Soroti Thunder showed up at the wrong venue for their Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 game against Blacks Power on Thursday.
Soroti Thunders and their supporters travelled to Kidetok Primary School playground in Serere while their visitors Blacks Power and match officials were at the venue that was communicated by FUFA (Soroti Stadium).
Both Bushenyi Veterans and Blacks Power prevail to the round of 32 with walk over victories and join the likes of Vipers SC, NEC FC, Bright Stars, URA FC and holders Kitara FC.
