Police FC sealed a place in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 with a narrow win over Karadali FC in the contest that was held at Orum Primary School playground in Otuke on Saturday.
Daniel Jakony netted the all important goal in the second half of the game to send Simon Peter Mugerwa’s side into the round of 32.
Jakony headed Emmanuel Mugume’s well delivered free-kick with twenty minutes to the regulation time to break the fifth division side’s resilience.
Before Jakony’s goal, Brian Omedi, Ben Ocen and Allan Bukenya all had decent chances to score for the Cops.
Meanwhile, Mbarara City eliminated Junior Eagles 5-3 on penalties after a goalless draw while Catda humbled Mawokota United 3-0 to prevail to the round of 32.
