Busoga United climaxed the first round of the FUFA Big League with a 1-0 victory at Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe.
Nazir Sserwadda’s 63rd minute goal sealed all the three points for Charles Ayiekoh’s coached men.
Ayiekoh appreciated his boys for the fighting spirit that helped them get all the three points,
“We came in this game with a target of fighting for maximum points to close the gap and I believe results are evident that the team has changed a lot.”
“The character of the boys helped us get the results so we play every game as a cup final and our target of promotion is still on.”
He confirmed there is need to reienforce all departments they will be very good to go in the second round,
“I think to reinforce all departments at least we need to sign six more players since the second round has so many games including Uganda Cup.”
Busoga United finish the first round ninth with 17 points while Blacks Power is second with 29 points.
