Congolese giants AS Vita Club have completed the signing of Ugandan goalkeeper Saidi Keni on a contract of eight months.
Keni officially joins the Congolese heavyweights after a stint with Shashemene City FC in Ethiopia last season.
The former Uganda Hippos shot stopper will compete for the club’s gloves with Burkinabe goalkeeper Farid Ouedraogo.
Locally, Keni featured for Proline FC, SC Villa and BUL FC before his Ethiopian expedition in 2023.
He joins a list of Ugandan players who have had a stint at AS Vita including defender Savio Kabugo, striker Yunus Sentamu and the late Abel Dhaira.
AS Vita are 15 time champions of the Congolese league and one time winners of the CAF Champions League.
The Black Dolphins are currently top of the Group B table of the Congolese league with 22 points from 12 games played.
