Former SC Villa striker Charles Bbaale is in the advanced stages of joining Kenya Premier League giants Gor Mahia FC.
Bbaale is currently in Kenya ahead of the anticipated transfer to the Kenyan record champions.
The imminent move comes after Bbaale mutually parted ways with Rwanda’s Rayon Sports about a week ago.
Bbaale spent 18 months at Rayon Sports and his major contribution was guiding the club to a FERWAFA Super Cup victory over rivals APR FC in 2023.
He is also set to become the second Ugandan at Gor Mahia after midfielder Chris Pius Akena.
Gor Mahia are hoping to bolster their squad in the upcoming transfer window that officially opens up on 30th January.
The K’Oghalo are hoping to keep up with the run away leading duo of Tusker FC and Kenya Police in the title contention.
Gor Mahia are currently third on the table with 28 points, eight behind Police and Tusker who are tied on 36.
