Uganda Martyrs HS Lubaga have completed the signing of defender Halima Kanyago, Swift Sports understands.
Kanyago returns to Uganda Martyrs from Women Elite League side UCU Lady Cardinals.
The versatile defender who can ably play across the defence, is expected to bolster the Uganda Martyrs defense heading into the second half of the season.
Kanyago is expected to partner Gloria Namugerwa in defense as the club strives to earn a respectable finish.
She adds the much needed experience to Uganda Martyrs having previously at the club before as well as Lady Doves and the National U20 Team.
She was part of the U20 Team (Queen Cranes) that won a Bronze medal at the All Africa Games in Ghana last year.
Uganda Martyrs will host Kampala Queens at Lubaga in their opening game of the second round on Sunday 2nd February.
The Lubaga based school side are currently sitting 9th on the league table with 10 points from 11 games played.
