The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Sports Awards have rewarded the outstanding performers of the month of January.
The winners were honored at the ceremony that was held at Lazio Restaurant in Lugogo.
Rally Driver Ponsiano Lwakataka alongside his co-driver Paul Musaazi clinched the Rally accolade after triumphing at the opening round of the National Rally Championship (NRC).
Lwakataka clocked 1hour, 12 minutes and 59.4 seconds to win the Lumala @60 @90 Birthday Rally in Mbarara.
He beat Ronald Ssebuguzi and Nasser Mutebi to the January accolade.
Alfred Ojok won the Boxing gong after his performances at the Solidarity and Fraternity Boxing Night Gala in Tunisia.

Ojok cruised to a knockout victory over Libya’s Hamza Gazouini in the first round of their 75 Kg middleweight bout.
Several elite boxers on the African continent were at the event held at Sidi Bou Said Gymnasium on January, 24th 2025.
Ojok beat Majid Kabonge and Latibu Muwonge to the accolade.
Grace Ojiru was named as the best Kho Kho Player in the month of January after her excellent performances at the Kho Kho World Cup that was held in India.
Ojiru’s superb displays saw Uganda finish as bronze medallists at the event and she was named as the best player in games against New Zealand and England.
She was also the best chaser in the match against Australia and best defender against Netherlands.
At the Kho Kho World Cup in India, Uganda won four matches before crashing out to Nepal in the Semifinals.
