Seven time Uganda Premier league champions Express FC have found themselves under scrutiny as the club battles salary issues, ahead of the second round of the 2024/25 season.

Players are claiming they owe the club up to four months of unpaid wages.

This website has established that only seven players showed up for Thursday’s training while head coach Badru Kaddu and some senior players were of no show with just a few days to the resumption of the league campaign.

According to sources, the club has also not been facilitating players with training allowances something that has worsened the situation at the club.

This is not the first time that football’s money problems have hit Express FC, towards the end of last season the club struggled with similar issues.

The Red Eagles were third at the climax of the first round of the 2024/25 UPL season with 25 points. They will kickoff the second round against BUL FC on Wednesday, 12th February at Nakivubo Stadium.
