An own goal from Express FC skipper Emmanuel Alex Wasswa and Pascal Ngoobi saw Abbey Kikomeko’s men smile to three points.
Wasswa netted in his own net when he failed to deal with Nicholas Mwere’s perfect cross in the 13th minute.
BUL doubled their advantage before the recess when Hillary Onek fed Ngobi in the 40th minute.
Muhammad Kagawa had Express FC’s best chance when he was set up by Richard Basangwa in the 21st minute but failed to beat goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.
Express FC striker Sam Ssenyondo who has had an impressive season limped off at the half hour mark.
BUL held on in the Second period to register their fifth win of the season and now sixth with 23 points while Express FC are third with 25 points.
