Midfielder Abdul Kalanzi once again scored the only goal from the spot that gave all the three points against strugglers Wakiso Giants.
Kalanzi converted from the spot in the 54th minute a goal that also gave Wakiso Giants their second consecutive victory of the second round.
He also scored in their last game from the spot as Lugazi beatPolice FC 1-0 at the same venue.
Victory takes Lugazi FC to 20 points enlightening their chances of survival as they occupy the 11th position.
Wakiso Giants are still in the relegation zone 14th on the table of 16 with 13 points from the same number of games.
Both sides now turn their focus to the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Lugazi FC will play FUFA Big League side Calvary FC on Monday 24th-Feb in Yumbe.
Wakiso Giants will also be away against Maroons FC at Luzira Prisons grounds
