Vipers SC stretched their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier league with a 2-0 win over rivals KCCA FC on Sunday evening at Lugogo.

Yunus Sentamu and Allan Okello first half goals were enough to hand the Venoms maximum points at Lugogo.

Sentamu fired the visitors into the lead in the 28th minute after being fed by Abdul Karim Watambala.

Two minutes later, Okello capitalized on Filbert Obenchan’s error to double Vipers advantage as well as punishing his former paymasters. He declined to celebrate against his former side.

Before the halftime breather, Sentamu limped off for Kenneth Kimera.

KCCA FC had an improved second half but couldn’t beat Vipers goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza as they suffered back to back defeats.

Victory sees Vipers establish their lead at the top of the league standings with 40 points and three above second placed NEC FC who were held by Police FC at Kavumba.
KCCA on the other hand are now 16 points adrift of leaders Vipers SC.
