Uganda will host the 14th edition of East Africa Local Authorities Cultural Association (EALASCA) Games between 23rd to 28th February in Kampala city.
The newly redeveloped Hamz Nakivubo Stadium which was inspected by the local organizing committee will host the games.
The inspecting team took a look at the football pitch, basketball and netball courts, boxing ring, state of art gym and space for planning other indoor games as chess, darts, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, pool and the others.
Kenya’s Kisumu city hosted the previous games and attracts cities of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.
This year’s event is expected to attract over 1000 participants.

EACoG is a Regional Sports initiative that emanates from the decision of the 20th EAC Council of Ministers, which directed the Secretariat to organize and hold Sports Tournaments on regular basis with partnership of private sector, civil society, voluntary organizations/ institutions/individuals and Development Partners.
Athletics, Football, Basketball, Netball, Cultural Competitions, Volleyball, Indoor games (Pool, Scrabble, Darts, Draught are the games that are competed among the five nations that form the East African Community.
