Uganda Cranes will return to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Final tournament for the first time since the 2019 edition that was held in Egypt.
The 35th edition of the continental showpiece will be hosted in Morocco from December 21st 2025 to January, 18th 2026.
Uganda is in Group C along with three time winners Nigeria, 2004 champions Tunisia and East African neighbors Tanzania.
Paul Put’s men will kick-off their AFCON 2025 group stage campaign on 23rd December against 2004 champions Tunisia.
The Cranes will then battle with regional rivals Tanzania on 27th December before ending their group stage campaign against three time competition winners Nigeria on 30th December.
This will be the Uganda Cranes’ eighth appearance at the competition with their best performance coming at the 1978 edition when they finished as runners up to eventual winners Ghana.
Nigeria will be making their 21st appearance and have won the competition three times in 1980, 1994, 2013 whereas Tunisia are to participate in their 22 AFCON finals with their only triumph coming in 2004.
