Bobosi Byaruhanga unveiled at Oakland Roots SC

Uganda Cranes midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga has joined Oakland Roots SC. Bobosi has been featuring in MLS Next Pro with Austin FC II where he helped the team to the 2023 Championship.

Oakland Roots confirmed Bobosi’s signature in statement on the club website

“Bobosi is a young player we are very excited to bring in to help solidify our midfield,” said Head Coach Gavin Glinton. “To have the international experience and multiple league championships under his belt at such a young age has set him an incredible foundation into becoming a key player in our squad this season.”

Byaruhanga is former Vipers SC player where he won 2021/22 Uganda Premier league title and also featured for St.Mary’s Secondary School Kitende winning the 2019 National school’s football championship and FEASSA tournament.

How new home Oakland Roots was founded in 2018 and currently compete in the USL Championship.
