Despite their underwhelming head to head record when faced with log leaders Vipers SC, Police FC head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa is adamant his side have what it takes to put and end to a six match winning run of their visitors.

Police have not picked a point off Vipers in the previous six meetings the two sides have faced off. In fact, they have conceded 16 goals in those meetings.

They will face off again at Kavumba with Police seeking for their first league win since early December when they beat Wakiso Giants.

Head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa asserts that his men have been doing well despite not killing off games and they hope a meeting against Vipers is a stern test for them to showcase what they can do.

” We have prepared very well , Considering that in our last two home games, we managed to get four points. Against Vipers, this is one of the games where we have to show character and are very motivated to to prove ourselves ”

“We have to work hard to see that at the end of the day, we finish on a positive note”

“We have not been defending well in situations where we need to show courage and get past the line but we have a chance to show it tomorrow ”

Mugerwa revealed that midfielder Augustin Kacancu is out of contention for a place due to injury.

Police are currently sitting 13th on the log with 20 points, and they need to extend further above red zoned Wakiso Giants.

Vipers top the log with 43 points, and they will hope to extend their lead above 2nd placed NEC who are on 40 points
