The organisers of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super League and Elite League Monthly Awards have awarded the best for the month of February.
At the brief ceremony held at Twed Plaza on Thursday, March 27th Kampala Queens head coach Asefa Firew Haile Gabreal, Olila HS WFC players Dorcus Lwalisa, Asubo Ladies coach Swaleh Kamya and St.Noa goalkeeper Lillian Nakirya were rewarded.
Asefa guided Kampala Queens to three wins in three games without conceding to retain the gong he won in January.
He beat Uganda Martyrs and Olila coaches Edward Kasozi and Ronald Eletu to the accolade respectively.
Olila HS WFC player Lwalisa won the best player award for her impressive performances that saw her score two goals in three games.
She beat Kampala Queens forward Peace Muduwa and Uganda Martyrs skipper Latifah Nakasi.
Meanwhile, Asubo Ladies coach Kamya won the Finance Trust Bank Women Elite League coach of the month of February accolade with St.Noa’s Nakirya taking home the best player award.
Kamya’s side managed three wins in three games while Nakirya kept two clean sheets in the two games she played.
