Wakiso Giants and Maroons FC slugged out to a thrilling 3-3 draw in a rip-roaring Uganda Premier league contest at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Wednesday.

The Purple Sharks who are battling for relegation had their goals scored by Abdul Ssemakula, Hudson Mbalire and Marvin Oshaba.

Baden Ogama, Raymond Walugembe and Brian Nkuubi scored Maroons’ goals.

Ssemakula gave the home side the lead in the 24th minute heading home a Moses Oloya perfect cross.

Ogama restored parity for the visitors before Nkuubi made it 2-1 at the stroke of halftime breather with a brilliant free kick.

Two minutes after the recess, Walugembe extended the visitors lead.

Bengo’s men however, rallied back with substitute Oshaba scoring the second from the spot moments after he had been fouled in the forbidden area.

Mbalire levelled matters with a brilliant header as the home side salvaged a point in the six goal thriller at Kabaka Kyabaggu.

Maroons are now seventh on the table with 34 points while Wakiso Giants are still stranded in the red zone with 18 points, five adrift of safety.

Wakiso Giants next travel to Bright Stars who suffered defeat to URA FC in the other game played on Wednesday. Maroons next welcome UPDF FC on Wednesday, 16th April.
