KCCA part ways with coach Abdallah Mubiru

Uganda Premier league giants KCCA FC have sacked Abdallah Mubiru as their head coach, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

The development comes after KCCA FC’s 4-0 defeat to Kitara FC last week.

The 13 time Uganda Premier league champions have also part ways with Mubiru’s assistant Kefa Kisala.

Jackson Magera who previously managed SC Villa will now serve as the interim coach alongside Ssaka Mpiima.

Mubiru replaced Portuguese Sergio Daniel Traguil for his second stint at Lugogo.

Besides, KCCA FC, Mubiru has previously coached teams like Police FC, Proline FC, Vipers SC, Mbeya City FC and Uganda Cranes where he was assistant to Jonathan McKinstry.

Mubiru leaves KCCA FC in sixth position with 34 points and will also face Kaaro Karungi in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinal. KCCA FC will next host BUL FC on Saturday at Lugogo.
