Uganda Premier league table leaders Vipers SC will be seeking their first win at Express FC in eight years when the two sides face off at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo on Friday.

The Venoms are yet to win away to Express since their 2-1 in 2017 when Milton Karisa and Erisa Ssekisambu scored the two goals before Dan Sserunkuma found a consolation for the Red Eagles.

Vipers will also be aiming at re-establishing their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier league after NEC FC closed the gap to one point with the 2-1 victory over Kitara FC on Thursday.

Vipers won the first round meeting 3-0 when the two sides faced off at Kitende and will be targeting their first double over the Red Eagles in eight years.

Express FC are currently facing financial issues with their players going on to strike last week due to arrears.

The Badru Kaddu coached side has lost their previous four league matches.

Express are currently 10th on the log with 28 points and will look up to Sam Ssenyonjo for inspiration against Vipers.
