NEC FC will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host relegation bound Mbale Heroes under the floodlights of Lugogo on Friday.
NEC are currently eight points adrift of leaders Vipers SC on the Uganda Premier league table and will be seeking to maximize points to keep their title hopes alive.
Mbalangu charges come into the contest back of a 3-1 defeat to league leaders Vipers SC at Kitende last week.
The tactician wants his side to win all their remaining games to stay in the race for the title.
“The players are in a good mood and we want to correct the mistakes we made in our previous game. Vipers are above us with eight points but in football anything is possible and so we have to win all our remaining games and see what happens.” Said Mbalangu
NEC are still unbeaten at home this term and will be strong favourites to maximize points against bottom placed Mbale Heroes.
Mbalangu’s side won the first leg meeting in Mbale 1-0 but will miss the services of Gideon Odong and Enock Ssebaggala.
