Why Kakande missed Villa’s goalless draw with Kitara

SC Villa and Kitara FC played out to a goalless draw during their league meeting at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday.

The reigning league champions were without their starman Patrick Jonah Kakande due to a clavicular dislocation.

Kakande joined skipper Ronald Ssekiganda and Cyrus Kibande who also missed the game due to respective injuries.

Morley Byekwaso’s side also missed the services of Misi Diego Ssemugera, David Owori and defender Geoffrey Lubangakane due to suspensions.

Meanwhile, Kitara FC were also without the suspended trio of Patrick Henry Kaddu, Titus Ssematimba and George Ssenkaaba.

Following their goalless stalemate, SC Villa remain winless over the Royals in now four league matches. The two sides are now level on points with Kitara fifth while SC Villa are seventh on the table standings.
