Kitara FC goalkeeper Chrispus Kusiima will be hoping for another clean sheet record when Kitara FC host Maroons FC on Saturday at Royal Park in Butema.
Kusiima currently leads the way for most clean-sheets in the league this term with 15 and another against Maroons will surely seal a golden glove for the custodian.
“I’m not really into individual trophies but some achievements you cannot ignore and to be in a position where I can register more clean sheets is something that I never thought I would be able to do.”
“For strikers it’s the goals that count and to the goalkeepers it’s important to keep clean sheets, I hope to add another against Maroons.” Said Kusiima
Kusiima will undoubtedly finish as the golden glove winner since all the other challenging goalkeepers can just share the accolade with him.
Vipers’ Alfred Mudekereza has 12 clean-sheets while Joel Mutakubwa (BUL FC) and KCCA FC’s Mutwalib Mulogofa are both on eleven clean-sheets.
Meanwhile, Kitara FC will be targeting a double over Maroons when the two sides face off in their league contest on Saturday. Kitara thrashed Maroons 4-0 in the first round.
