The USSSA Boys’ National Football Schools championship has reached the quarterfinal stage in Ngora District.
Joint record competition winners St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende and Kibuli SS will renew their rivalry in the quarterfinals.
Kitende eliminated Blessed Sacrament Kimanya 3-0 at the round of 16 stage while Kibuli needed a 5-4 shootout win over Masaka SS after a goalless stalemate in normal time.
Bukedea Comprehensive will lock horns with Kyaddondo SS at the quarterfinal stage.
Bukedea overcame Kawempe Muslim 1-0 in the round of 16 while Kyaddondo SS edged Kichwamba High School 1-0.
Buddo SS will battle with Uganda Martyrs Lubaga for a place in the semis. Buddo beat Wisdom 3-1 while Uganda Martyrs Lubaga needed a 4-2 shootout win over Greenlight Islamic in the round of 16 stage.
Jinja Progressive Academy who eliminated last year’s winners St Julian High School will face off with Mentor in the quarters.
