Algeria and South Africa have joined Uganda Cranes in Group C of the African Nations Championships (CHAN) 2024.
Algeria overcame The Gambia 3-0 in the second leg, having drawn the first leg goalless. The Algerians progressed 3-0 on aggregate.
At the previous edition, Algeria finished as runners-up to eventual winners Senegal.
Meanwhile, South Africa beat Malawi 2-0 in the second leg to progress 2-1 on aggregate. Malawi had won the first leg meeting 1-0 in the first leg.
Algeria and South Africa join Uganda Niger and Guinea in Group C of the tournament to be Co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The rearranged 2024 CHAN tournament is scheduled for 2nd -30th August.
