Kitara FC will be aiming at stopping Vipers SC from clinching the league title at Butema Royal Park when the two sides face off on Wednesday.

The Venoms will be crowned champions if they manage to maximize points in Butema.

They could as well win it if NEC FC fail to overcome soon to be dethroned Champions SC Villa at Muteesa II Stadium.

Vipers are currently top of the league standings with 65 points, four above second placed NEC FC.

They come into this contest after a 1-0 defeat to third placed BUL FC in their previous league game.

Kitara FC on the other hand overcame Maroons FC 1-0 in a game that saw them end their five-match goal drought.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side are winless against Vipers in the previous five league meetings, losing four and a draw.

After today’s meeting, the two sides will then turn focus to their Stanbic Uganda Cup Semifinal second leg due on Saturday at the same Venue.
