The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed that the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup will be held on Saturday, 31st May 2025.
This will be the first ever match to be played at FUFA Stadium Kadiba and the maiden competition final to be played under the lights.
According to the Federation kickoff time for the epic final is slated for 6:00PM.
The Stanbic Uganda Cup is currently at the semifinal stage with Vipers SC currently carrying a first leg advantage over holders Kitara FC. The Venoms beat Kitara 1-0 at Kitende and the two sides will renew their growing rivalry at Butema Royal Park on Saturday, 17th May.
Meanwhile, KCCA FC who have the competition a joint record 10-times with Express FC thrashed Kataka FC 3-0 in the first leg at Lugogo. The two sides will next face off on Sunday for the return fixture in Mbale.
The eventual winner of this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup will secure a slot in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup. However, should Vipers SC complete a double following their League triumph, the CAF Confederation Cup slot could potentially go to the second-placed team in the league.
