Mawokota have officially unveiled David Katono Mutono as their new head coach as they kick start their preparations for the forthcoming Masaza Cup tournament.
Mutono was unveiled by Kayima Sarah Nanono Kaweesi.
He joins Mawokota from Kyaggwe a side he guided to their maiden Masaza Cup final last year.
Mutono was the man in the dug out when Kyaggwe lost 1-0 to Buddu in Namboole courtesy of Micheal Walaga.
He is a former coach at now defunct Soans FC Kyetume FC and Gaddafi.
In fact he guided Kyetume FC to the top flight in 2022.
Last year, Mawokota’s journey ended at the quarterfinal stage and were under two different coaches in Steven Bogere and Brian Ssenyondo.
The Masaza Cup tournament is tentatively expected to kick off at the end of June.
