SC Villa and Uganda Cranes midfielder Ronald Ssekiganda has completed a move to Rwanda Premier league champions APR FC.
Ssekiganda joins APR FC on a two year employment contract as a free agent from record Ugandan champions SC Villa.
In the just concluded season, Ssekiganda was SC Villa captain having replaced Kenneth Semakula who joined Tunisian side Club African last year.
Ssekiganda’s departure means that the Jogoos have for a third consecutive year lost a skipper. Following Gift Fred who left the club in 2023 and Semakula in 2024.
Ssekiganda was key in SC Villa’s title triumph in the 2023/24 season. He joined Villa in 2019 from Kampala Regional League side CATDA.
In that same year, Ssekiganda had helped Bulemeezi to the Masaza Cup title and was also named as the Most Valuable Player of the competition that very year.
At APR, he will link up with his former teammate at SC Villa Hakim Kiwanuka and Denis Omedi. APR is also the home for Taddeo Lwanga. APR FC recently clinched the Rwanda Premier league title with 67 points in 30 games.
