Robertinho Oliveira Goncalves could make a shock return to Vipers SC this transfer window, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
This website has established that the Venoms are expected to appoint a foreign coach ahead of next season with their former coach Robertinho among those considered.
Former SC Villa head coach Dusan Stojanovic is also on the list but his return to the UPL is increasingly unlikely this window.
Last season, Vipers SC was under the stewardship of co-coaches Fred Muhumuza and John Ayala Luyinda as they clinched a Cup double.
Both Muhumuza and Ayala are expected to stay at the seven-time Uganda Premier league champions but will serve as assistant coaches.
Robertinho left Vipers in December, 2022 for Tanzania Giants Simba SC where he worked until November 2023.
Last season, Robertinho was in charge of Rwanda’s Rayon Sport FC.
During his time at Vipers SC, the Brazilian won one Uganda cup and one Uganda premier League.
He also helped the Venoms qualify for the CAF champions League group stages their first in the club’s history.
