Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho is set to sign a new contract with Tanzanian giants Yanga SC.
As per multiple sources, Aucho is expected to put pen to a one year employment contract with the club.
The proposed contract will put an end to the uncertainty that has been hovering around Aucho’s future and the club.
Aucho is regarded as one of most important pieces in Yanga’s success since joining in the club in 2021.
Aucho joined Yanga from Misr El Makassa of Egypt on a two year contract before signing a one year extension last year.
‘Doktari wa mpira’ as widely known in Tanzania, the experienced defensive midfielder has won four league titles, three FA Cups and three Community Shields with Yanga.
He also played an integral part as the club reached the final of the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup where they lost to USM Alger.
