Double winning champions Vipers SC have rewarded Congolese goalkeeper Alfred Macumu Mudekereza a new employment contract.

This website understands that the custodian has extended his stay for at least another two years.

Mudekereza’s previous contract expired in June after helping the Kitende based to yet another double triumph.

Mudekereza joined the Venoms as a free agent in July, 2022 on a three year employment contract.

His heroics in the tense penalty shootout over TP Mazembe helped Vipers reach the group stages of the CAF Champions league in the 2022/23 season for the first time in the club’s history.

He has also won two league titles and two Uganda Cups during his time at Kitende.

Before joining the Kitende based side, Mudekereza had previously featured for OC Bukavu Dawa and AS Vita both from his home country DR Congo.

Vipers have also rewarded Patrick Mbowa a new contract and have so far signed two players in Enock Ssebaggala who joined from NEC FC and Liberian striker Mark Yallah.
